L'Oreal Fashion Week in Toronto
Lorrayne Anthony wrote in The Vancouver Sun newspaper today "A sexy look will herald spring, but with a more...subtle feminine touch." The show started off with tailored looks in whites, blacks and yellows, and moved into golds, lime greens, teal blues and saffron with some snakeskin and lepoard-spot patterns!
Spring 2006 Trends
Joanne Sasvari, The Calgary Herald, in Alberta has a great list of trends for the spring of 2006:
Ruffles and lace; Neutral but nice colours (beige, greige, taupe, creme, ecru and khak are back big time!
Kimonos! and for evening lots of Jersey.
Emphasize your curves: focus on the waist (belts, blousons, circle skirts, full skirts, high waists.
Artwork Necklaces and beads, applique, embroidery (more subtle than seasons past).
The Dress... and The Blouse... are back! (blouses are pretty, dressy, georgette or chiffon)
