RE/MAX Cdn Convention

During the second week of October 2005, the 22nd Annual RE/MAX Canadian Conference was held at La Malbaie, Quebec. The venue for the conference was the Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu. Our accommodation was at the Auberge (Hotel in French) des 3 Canards – about a fifteen minute walk to the conference center.

We set up our Exhibitor Display table on Thursday along with 32 other RE/MAX realtors. This is an outstanding way of meeting RE/MAX realtors from across the country. In total, 567 attended the conference from across the land.

For me there were many highlights. The most enjoyable was making new connections within the RE/MAX community. Next, was the “Living out Loud” presentation by Amanda Gore. She is regarded was one of the top speakers in the United States and she just rocked the house with her view on how to connect with people. And finally, the talk by Dave Liniger, RE/MAX International Chairman & Co-Founder, was very inspiring. Dave’s talk was titled “Living the Dream”. One can’t help but be impressed at not only what Mr. Liniger has accomplished with his wife Gail, but on how in the recent tradegy in the Southern States, RE/MAX has set up an endowment fund to assist realtors affected.
