Dunbar Traffic: Blenheim

A transportation engineer from the Engineering Services of the cityof Vancouver in beautiful British Columbia recently mailed a survey out to the Blenheim Street Neighborhood residents with some information on the Blenheim Street Improvements proposed between 16th Avenue and Marine Drive.
Blenheim Street has been designated as the pilot for a city-wide Neighborhood Collector Initiative. The means reclassifying the street from a secondary arterial to a neighborhood collector. The changes to the street are to increase safety, calm traffic and improve liveablitiy. Blenheim Street would be re-paved as part of this work.
The Blenheim Neighbourhood Group is an informal committee of residents living on and near Blenheim Street between 16th and Marine Drive. This involves 270 family homes, a seniors' residence, nearby parks, and schools...Lord Kitchener Elementary, Kerrisdale Annex Primary and Crofton House (about 1300 students in total).
