On September 28, 2005 my beautiful sister Jennifer Hayes celebrated her Birthday!!! The reason why this is such a special birthday is because when my sister was 18 years old she was diagnosed with Lupus and was told that she had 10 years to live. This would bring her to age 28. Well yesterday she celebrated birthday number 29!! Isn't that amazing. Now to give you a little information about my fabulous sister. Jen is living with an absolutely horrible and chronic illness called Lupus. Jen is unable to work because of this illness but this doesn't stop her from dedicating her time and energy to some great causes. Jen actively volunteers with the BC Lupus Society and is a public speaker for UNICEF. She also is a fabulous daughter, sister, wife and aunt. She is always there for you when you need her. Especially when the call is for a babysitter. I am always leaning on her to babysit Emma and she is always willing and ready.
