Neil Diamond Concert
What a night! On a warm sunny evening, the first day of autumn, September 22, 2005, Claire went to a Neil Diamond Concert at Vancouver's GM Place, accompanied by her daughter and son-in-law, Thea and Leandro Berretta, and Leo's Mother, Maria Elena Berretta. We had a blast!
We were eagerly awaiting the start of the performance, and yes, sitting in nose-bleed country at the very top and last row possible, way up high in level 3 (right at the roof line practically), and the usher climbed up to us and offered to move of four of us lower down to level one! WOW! How good is that?
So Neil played the whole time, NO INTERMISSION, and sang all the old favourtie songs (Cherry Baby, Desiree, Lonely, Cracklin Rosie, You don't bring me flowers..., Sweet Caroline). He had his band of 14 members, some of which have been with him for 30 odd years now (4 jazz, 2 drummers, 2 piano/key board, 3 singers, base and guitar players).
This was a very special night, particularly as two of these TICKETS were a gift from Thea to Leo for their 2nd anniversary.
