Fishing the Fisher Channel

This is the Parry. In mid September she was our fishing home. This vessel is owned and operated by Westwind Tugboat Adventures. Bob and Kathy Jordan, our hosts, have been in the busines for around 30 years, so who better to go on a fishing adventure with? We landed in Bella Bella and immediately set out for Codville Lagoon. That afternoon we spotted a humpback whale.

Here's Bob displaying the correct trophy presentation. I caught this one right at the mouth of the lagoon. Our next day we set out for a Rosco Inlet. This is a place few people see because it is well and truly out of the way. We saw spawning salmon and a wolf on the beach. After this we motored to the old Ocean Falls mill/town site.We set a crab pot each day and were never disappointed.

Here is Claire with her catch of the day, a lovely 14 pound Coho which she gathered in at Lamas Passage. About half an hour earlier we had the cruise ship Norwegian Dream pass by. After fishing this day we went clam digging.
