Blink
One of my treasures from my trip to New York was a book by Malcolm Gladwell called 'blink' published by Little Brown and Company. In this book, Mr. Gladwell, discusses the subject of "thin slicing" the way we think in our everyday business. For example, in one of the books case studies he describes a psychotherapist who can evaluate facial gestures of a couple to determine the success of their marriage. This helped me realise that in the work that I do there are specific and distinct characteristics that determine the success and failure of transactions that I conduct in Real Estate. Now I just have to quantify what those characteristics are! This is a really good book I recommend for people in sales.
